OVERVIEW Adam Taurus is a member of the White Fang, an organization hellbent on repaying humans for the oppression of faunus all throughout history. The man under the mask is a mystery to both and strikes fear into those who sees it. He is known to show no mercy to humans, willing to strike them down without a second thought and has a strong disdain for them. Described as a mentor to Blake Belladonna, he has chosen to walk the path of death and destruction to get what he wants. Though it is quite obvious to just about anyone that burning spite dwells within and also motivates him in his quest as well. PERSONALITY Adam Taurus is a bad person. This is quite obvious to anyone. But the choices he made has made him the man he is today. For a good portion of his life, Adam spent his time belonging to the Schnee Dust Company. His specific job there is unclear but it can be assumed that he spent his time in the mines just like most other faunus. The destiny of his parents unknown but it can be assumed that they are either missing or dead, probably due to the SDC as well. Branded by the SDC like cattle, Adam's resentment for humans definitely started there. There was no one around to serve as some kind of positive role model for him or to give him hope that there was some kind of silver lining existed. And so, a young Adam growing up under the SDC was left to fester in the anger that he felt which would eventually form into nonstop spite in his later years. In his later years, Adam would eventually begin to show the leadership qualities that would eventually get him the love of the White Fang. Back then, Adam mainly stole Dust from the SDC with groups of rebellious faunus. It is also when he dons the prototype of his Grimm mask. It can be said that Adam wants to be feared by those who oppose him, wanting to be the monster that humans saw the faunus as. But this also has roots in his own insecurity. He would eventually project this insecurity on those around him as he makes other members of the White Fang wear the mask as well when he eventually rises in rank. The most important point and the point of no return for Adam is the attack on the White Fang by humans. While he took most of them out non-lethally, he had no choice but to kill the last human there as they were about to kill Ghira. Ghira reprimanded Adam for this where he is shown to feel shame but then Sienna Khan cuts in, telling him that he should be praised for this action instead. Getting positive reinforcement and being told that he had been in the right for what he did unlocked something in Adam then. And when the White Fang would eventually split in two, it is no surprise that he would side with Sienna Khan when she choose the more violent path for the White Fang. From then on, the spite that Adam held as a child certainly begins coming back where he lets it all out on killing humans that are a threat to the White Fang cause. Adam does care about the White Fang and eventually bringing peace to the world between humans and faunus. But the hatred that burned deep within him for so long doesn't let him see that world possibly be a thing. He proves this when he tells Blake that her vision for a positive future does not exist and would be impossible to achieve. Adam could have chosen a path of light but he didn't. He easily could have stuck with Ghira instead of Sienna but he made his bed and now he has to lay in it. Adam can be possessive as well as seen with his relationship with Blake. When she even shows possible signs of leaving his side, Adam is quick to give her reasons not to which shows a more manipulative side to him as well. ABILITIES Adam's physical abilities are something of that to be admired. He is quite capable in combat, his preference in fighting being to use "laido" (Japanese swordfighting that involves unsheathing sword for a rapid attack before sheathing again). He is also good at unarmed combat, mainly using kicks and grabs as attacks. There is also his speed that should be feared. His sword strikes and himself are quite quick, one a lot quicker than the other. His speed allows him to deflect things like bullets using his weapon named Wilt and Blush. Wilt is a Japanese-inspired sword while Blush is his sheath that can transform itself into a gun. Adam, like all others in the world of RWBY, has aura which allows him to take stronger hits to things than usual. Adam's semblance, Moonslice, allows him to absorb and block the energy from an attack before re-emitting it into powerful red energy strikes. When he absorbs attacks, the red parts of his outfit tend to glow red before releasing it. Depending on how much he absorbs, he could potentially destroy an enemy entirely as seen in the Black Trailer. Also, when he uses his semblance, red rose petals appear which apply to the theme of Wilt. The main thing about Adam's semblance is that he has to specifically block the attack to absorb it, not taking actual painful damage to use it like Yang. It also only enhances his attacks, not enhances himself. Outside of combat, Adam is shown to have really good leadership skills and quick thinking. He also knows how to get into an opponent's head using his words alone. He is also very intelligent and works well as a tactician more than anything. But his weakness in this department is certainly his unstable personality which can easily be triggered when prompted by outside forces.
